*** Latest Update 5pm 26th August 2019 ***

The very lastest tropical storm update has just past over our desk and I Like Cruise Ships is here to pass it on to you. At the moment it seems to be heavy rain and wind that is causing the most problems.

According to the latest reports, Dorian is expected to bring tropical storm conditions to areas covering the Lesser Antilles tonight and Tuesday.

Hurricane conditions could be possible in St. Lucia, where a Hurricane Watch is already in effect. Rainfall of 3 to 8 inches is also expected on the islands of Martinique, St Vincent, and Barbados, with heavy fall up to 10 inches possible.

For residents in the Bahamas and Florida, they should also heed caution later this week and into the weekend. People in these 2 areas should continue to monitor the progress of Dorian and ensure they have a Hurricane plan in place.

As for the Cruise Lines, only Royal Caribbean at this time has deemed it necessary to change the itineraries of its ships adjusting the planed sailing of both the Symphony and Harmony of the Seas. Also, Allure of the Seas has just changed from an Eastern Caribbean itinerary to a Western Caribbean itinerary.
