Its been reports in multiple social media cruise groups that the Carnival Mardi Gras is delayed from sailing from the port of Roatan, Honduras.
The Mardi Gras arrived today on its last scheduled port stop of a 7-day cruise that originally left Port Canaveral, Florida back on the 18th September 2021. The current cruise is expected to return to its homeport on Saturday 25th at 7.00 am.
At this stage little is know about the ships reason for not departing. At the time of this post going live, the ship was more than 45 minutes behind its scheduled departure time. I Like Cruise Ships has contacted Carnival Cruise Line for an official reason for the late departure, but so far nothing has been communicated to us.
In an additional post on social media, the Captain has made a statement to the guests onboard to say the following.
At this stage, we can only speculate what might be happening on board, and for now, we will await the official answer from Carnival. We will keep you updated on any further developments as and when they come to hand.
