Princess Cruises has just announced plans to expand its presence in Sydney, with its impressive 3,560-guest Regal Princess set to sail alongside sister ship, Majestic Princess in Sydney.

The 141,000-tonne Regal Princess will be deployed in Sydney for her maiden Australian season from December 2020 to April 2021. The move follows growing demand for cruise holidays, and represents a 40 per cent increase in Princess Cruises’ capacity from Sydney compared with the line’s current 2018/19 summer season.

Speaking onboard Majestic Princess at the “2018 Carnival Australia Partnership Summit”, Princess Cruises’ Senior Vice President Asia Pacific, Stuart Allison said,

“Further to the incredible response to Majestic Princess’ maiden season in Australia, I’m delighted to now share that Regal Princess, will also call Sydney home in the Summer of 2020. Not only will this be the first time in history that Princess Cruises has deployed two Royal-Class ships from the same homeport outside the Caribbean, but it will be the biggest deployment we’ve ever had in Sydney”.

With her 330-metre length taller than the height of the Sydney Tower, Regal Princess will offer a variety of enticing features guests will be familiar with on sister ship, Majestic Princess, including 13 dining venues, a soaring atrium, a dramatic over-the-ocean glass walkway, the SeaWalk, extending more than eight metres beyond the edge of the ship, plush private poolside cabanas, the Princess Live! television studio, a dedicated pastry shop, a special Chef’s Table Lumiere private dining experience as well as 1780 staterooms, with balconies on all outside staterooms.
