So for all you Carnival Cruise Line fans out there. Your in for a treat. In this post we are excited to show you some behind the scenes pictures of the newest ship to set sail for the Carnival Cruise Line brand. Introducing the Carnival Horizon.

Set debut in only a few short weeks. The Carnival Horizon will make its maiden voyage out of Barcelona, Spain. The first cruise is going to be a 13 day Mediterranean cruise visiting amazing countries like Italy, Croatia, Greece and Malta.

Currently under construction at Fincatiari Marghera yard in Venice, Italy. The ship is almost ready to debut some new spaces not seen before on Carnival ships.

Bonsai Teppanyaki

With the introduction of the Teppanyaki grill. This sure if a first on Carnival ships. With 2 serving stations seating 8 at a time. this is going to be a big hit right from the first night of cruising. Before you book early for this option onboard.

Hours:  open for lunch on sea days / open for dinner nightly

    • Full service featuring a wide-ranging menu with authentic delicacies from the Far East prepared by chefs on custom-built stations that form the center of the venue’s two 8-seat tables.

    • Reservations-recommended; Walk-ins welcome

Pixels (Digital) Photo Gallery and Dreams Studio

Fully digital photo galleries are becoming the norm now on ships. As people start to embrace social media and there various platforms. being able to view your portrait directly on your personal phone or device is sure going to excite some.

      • Where a friendly staff of photographers take candid and posed shots throughout the cruise, capturing many fun memorable moments
      • Photos are displayed digitally. Guests can view photos at the gallery on iPads or via the HUB App on their smart phone – with just a click, digital or print copies can be ordered
      • The Photo Gallery offers a wide range of cameras, supplies and photo albums for purchase
      • Dreams Studio: Our elite team of professional photographers offer an exclusive, custom photo shoot around the ship or in port; images are captured and edited to create a finished story book unique to the guest

Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse|Brewhouse

This indoor / outdoor restaurant is a Carnival first having moved this inside from its previous location on the Lanai on deck 5. Along with the tie in with Guy Fiori. BBQ lovers get your taste buds ready.

  • Featuring Guy’s favorite down-home smoked-on-board barbecue and traditional sides and desserts
  • Indoor and outdoor tables and seating

JaveBlue Café

All though not new to Carnival ships the Java cafe is sure to delight with the addition of the Shake spot in the same area.

  • Cafe, featuring speciality coffees, cakes, cupcakes, cookies and pastries
  • Order cakes for special occasions

Dr. Seuss WaterWorks

Dr. Suess theming will certainly add some color to the already fun and ever popular WaterWorks. The co branding of the WaterWorks is a cruise line first yet again. Kids and big kids at heart get your swim suits ready.

Location: Deck 12 – midship (bottom of slide) / Serenity Deck 15 – midship (top of slide)
Hours: 9:00am-7:00pm, weather conditions permitting / hours subject to change

  • The Cat’ Hat slide: an enclosed raft slide offering more than 450′ of twists and turns.
  • Fun Things slide: an enclosed body slide with whimsical polka dots and special lighting effects, 213′ long.
  • SplashZone: expansive spray park with varied water spray apparatus for smaller children and families
  • 150-gallon tipping bucket
  • Mini Racer slides for children
